Want to make your AngularJS app data automatically sync across your clients? Apigee Edge makes it easy. We’ll show you by using an AngularJS version of the TodoMVC project as a sample application for adding the API BaaS (formerly known as "App Services").
We’re pleased to announce that support for Apigee Edge node.js is now generally available. This GA release enables our customers to confidently leverage node.js in conjunction with Apigee Edge in production use cases. Apigee provides an API platform that runs node.js natively. Apigee’s node.js support facilitates enterprise adoption of the programming language in an API-first manner.
The BaaS revolution has mainly targeted mobile developers, and for good reason. A mobile developer’s skills typically don’t overlap those required for building and maintaining server-side infrastructure. The same isn’t true for web app developers. They live and breathe on the server. So why is a BaaS a good solution for web apps? The answer is simple: time and money.
Keeping your users engaged is one of the toughest challenges of the app economy. Email has become a very ineffective way of reaching users (only 12% of emails are opened, according to recent study by Mogreet), and social media channels are not too far behind (with only 15% of Facebook updates read). In this webcast, Tim Anglade and Matt Dobson show how Push Notifications can help you connect with the right people, help avoid missed engagement opportunities, and establish deeper relationships, whether your users are just looking to buy something, or looking for a new app to love.
Last week we were delighted to host several training sessions and workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area and totally thrilled to see such an enthusiastic turnout of thinkers and makers! Over 100 developers attended each session. Huge thanks to everyone who attended and made it such an exciting and engaging experience. We had a blast!

Are you a PHP developer? Want to take advantage of a Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform to build your next mobile or web application? Let Apigee's BaaS technology take care of all the repetitive stuff you have to do for every new app you build (user management, OAuth security, roles and permissions, massively scalable data storage, social feeds, etc.) and focus instead on building the differentiating parts of your project using your PHP skills.
Thanks to those who joined and coded along during our recent webcast, in which @timanglade demonstrated how to build a mobile app from scratch using HTML5, jQuery, Apigee and PhoneGap. The video, slides, and a link to the source code on github are posted here.
