The December 2013 product update to Edge Analytics includes many exciting new features. There’s one that we’d like to highlight to help you understand its power and usefulness: report packs, which are collections of extensible custom reports pre-built by Apigee, based on industry best practices, and organized around common themes.
We’re ready to close the year with a feature release for Edge Analytics. Everything you see in this analytics-focused release is a direct result of conversations we’ve had with many of you. This update opens a new chapter in the depth and the flexibility of our analytics capabilities.
In this video we examine a simple use case and demonstrate how to use the Apigee Platform to expose a standard SAP backend and convert a JSON request into a SOAP SAP back-end request. You will see that in a matter of minutes, with no coding and taking advantage of capabilities like XSLT, you can make it possible for mobile apps to consume services from an ERP backend system.
In this video we take a look at a simple use case demonstrating how easily Apigee enables a transformation that can typically be a complex example in a Telco environment - A Telco XML/SOAP style backend (ParlayX) converted to the GSMA OneAPI. This enables carriers to create their own location or messaging APIs on top of an existing backend without having to go into the middleware layer meaning faster time to market for new services and avoids introducing instability in an operational network.
The shift to mobile makes it necessary for enterprises to change the way they engage their customers – we see this all the time with new consumer services such as Uber and Exec disrupting older models. So the imperative and opportunity is to enable enterprises to reach their customers through new types of mobile apps. Trigger.io allows enterprises to reuse their existing web skills and investments to create native mobile apps while Apigee provides a “backend-as-service” solution. This blog post describes how we recently created a native iOS app with a remote data store without ever provisioning a server or writing a line of Objective-C!
We're excited to announce the general availability of Apigee Enterprise 3.8! Some highlights:
